PrawnMail started with a simple, unglamorous problem: I had a small B2B business, I knew exactly who needed what I was selling, and the maths on hiring someone to find and contact those people didn’t work.

Hiring an SDR meant a year-long commitment and tens of thousands in salary before I’d know if the hire worked. Paying an agency meant handing over a chunk of monthly revenue to a team who treated us like a minor account. Doing it myself meant outreach would get squeezed into whatever half-hour was left at the end of each day — which in practice meant it didn’t get done.

The first client was a workplace mindfulness business that was struggling to cut through to HR leaders. Every pound they put in came back tenfold. They spread the word. More businesses came on board. The pattern kept repeating.
